Anambra’s First Lady Leads Energetic Fitness Crusade: Dr. Nonye Soludo Inspires State with Vigorous Saturday Workout Session

In a spirited effort to promote physical fitness and well-being in Anambra State, Dr. Mrs. Nonye Soludo, the First Lady and founder of Healthy Living With Nonye Soludo (HLMNS), spearheaded an invigorating Saturday workout session at the Governor’s Lodge in Amawbia.

The event, which kicked off at 8 AM sharp, saw the participation of a diverse group including Governor Soludo’s political appointees and representatives from various youth bodies, including ASATU Youth, NYCN Anambra, Ohanaeze Youth Wing Anambra, APGA Youth and NYSC Management Anambra. Notably, former world tennis champion Tania Okpala also joined the session, adding a touch of sporting excellence to the gathering.

The workout, designed to target all parts of the body, was a dynamic blend of aerobic exercises that lasted for over an hour and a half. Participants were thoroughly engaged, and the energy was palpable.

Following the session, Dr. Nonye Soludo expressed her exhilaration, emphasizing the vital role of exercise in maintaining health. “Exercise is the best natural medicine for keeping us fit and warding off sickness,” she stated. The First Lady highlighted the importance of regular physical activity, irrespective of body type or age, as a key to enhancing fitness, skin glow, and life expectancy.

After the rigorous workout, participants were treated to a refreshing hand-washing session with soap and water, followed by a delightful spread of fruits including watermelon, apple, bananas, orange, cucumber, and pineapple.

The event not only showcased the state’s commitment to health but also served as a platform for fostering community engagement and unity under the banner of wellness.
