Anambra State has stamped its name on the global innovation map as the Solution Innovation District (SID) was crowned among the top three transformative tech hubs in the world at the prestigious IASP Inspiring Solutions Awards 2025 held in Beijing, China.
The historic recognition, announced during the International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation (IASP) World Conference, placed Anambra shoulder-to-shoulder with groundbreaking innovation hubs across more than 80 countries worldwide.
Speaking on the global feat, the wife of the Anambra State Governor, Dr. Nonye Soludo, hailed the award as a resounding victory for the state’s digital vision.
“Anambra’s excellence shines again on a global stage! SID stood tall, and this is a win not just for us but for Nigeria and Africa at large,” she declared with pride.
The recognition spotlighted the success of the “Anambra Digital Tribe” model, an ambitious initiative aimed at creating One Million Digital Champions, empowering young innovators, and placing them at the forefront of Africa’s technological and economic transformation.
Dr. Soludo stressed that the award was more than just a trophy, it was validation of Governor Soludo’s futuristic agenda of positioning Anambra as Nigeria’s digital capital. “Wins like this are not mere validation of smart visions but a reward of our ambition to lead Nigeria’s digital future from our home soil,” she affirmed.
With this milestone, Anambra has officially taken its place on the global digital map, sending a clear message that African youths are not just participants but drivers of the next wave of global innovation.
