In what has been described as a defining moment for leadership excellence in Africa, the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, has clinched three prestigious international honours at the 2025 Global Power Forum, held on the sidelines of the 80th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 80) in New York, USA.

The awards included:

  1. The African Public Service Excellence Award
  2. The African Governor of the Year Award
  3. A Special Recognition/Commendation by the South Carolina House of Representatives

Celebrating the achievement, the wife of the governor, Mrs. Nonye Soludo, hailed her husband as “Mr. Solution,” declaring that “Solution means exceptionality!” She added that the triple recognition was not just political validation but “a strong testimony that the world sees and appreciates our efforts to redefine governance in Anambra State.”

According to her, Prof. Soludo’s vision is so transformative that “there will be an Anambra before and after Soludo.” She described him as a man whose brilliance and selfless commitment to the people of Anambra stand unmatched. “Truly, the Solution is here! May Anambra continue to win!” she declared in excitement.

At the high-profile forum themed “Africa Unleashed: Navigating the Disruptions, Enhancing Opportunities,” Governor Soludo stood shoulder to shoulder with global leaders, including former Tanzanian President Dr. Jakaya Kikwete; Prime Minister Philip Davis of The Bahamas; President Sylvanie Burton of Dominica; former Trinidad and Tobago Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar; Prime Minister Dr. Judith Suminwa Tuluka of the Democratic Republic of Congo; African Development Bank Secretary-General Prof. Vincent O. Nmehielle, and others.

The historic recognition cements Soludo’s place as not only a Nigerian statesman but also a global voice on governance, innovation, and people-centered leadership. For Ndi Anambra, it is yet another international endorsement that their governor’s “Solution Agenda” is impactful far beyond Africa.
