APGA Local Government Women Leaders Meet with Soludo’s Wife

In a significant gathering at the Governor’s Lodge in Amawbia, the APGA Local Government Women Leaders paid a courtesy visit to Mrs. Nonye Soludo, the wife of Anambra State Governor.

The meeting was marked by a warm welcome and appreciation from Mrs. Soludo, who expressed her gratitude towards the women leaders for their efforts.

Mrs. Soludo, addressing the gathering, emphasized the significance of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the state and beyond. “APGA is our own, the only progressive party in the country, the only vehicle that will take this state and country to the promised land,” she stated. She also highlighted a significant political shift, mentioning the recent decamping of 1300 PDP members to APGA, indicating a growing support for the party.

Reflecting on the role of women in society, Mrs. Soludo underscored Governor Soludo’s belief in the importance of women. “We have so much energy, it’s the way God created us,” she said, emphasizing the need for women to be watchful of their children and maintain affectionate relationships with them.

Mrs. Soludo also announced plans to organize workshops in collaboration with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) to address issues such as drug abuse among youths. She stressed the importance of healthy living, encouraging the women leaders to cultivate home gardens and maintain environmental and personal hygiene.

Earlier in the meeting, the State APGA Woman Leader, Lady Esther Onyekesi, introduced the Nonyelu Solution Initiative, a platform dedicated to spreading the message of Governor Soludo’s administration. She highlighted the high level of women’s participation in the state, noting their active engagement with community, market, and religious leaders.

Lady Chinwe Mgbajiaka, Woman Leader of Njikoka, proposed organizing workshops and seminars for Women Leaders on child abuse and domestic violence. She emphasized the need to create awareness among women in the society to enhance their leadership roles and productivity.

The meeting highlights the commitment of the Anambra State government to empower women and address critical issues affecting the state, reflecting a comprehensive approach towards governance and community development.
